Backlinks are links from other websites to a specific page on your website. They are often referred to as “inbound links” or “external links.” In the context of search engine optimization (SEO), backlinks can be an important factor in determining the ranking of a webpage in search results.

Google and other search engines use backlinks as a way to measure the quality and credibility of a webpage. If a webpage has a lot of backlinks from other high-quality websites, it may be seen as more valuable and relevant, and may rank higher in search results. On the other hand, if a webpage has few or low-quality backlinks, it may be seen as less valuable and may rank lower in search results.

There are many different ways to get backlinks to your website, including creating high-quality content that other websites want to link to, participating in industry forums and blogs, and building relationships with other website owners. It is generally considered good practice to focus on getting high-quality backlinks from reputable websites, rather than trying to artificially manipulate the number of backlinks.
